Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome! Kindergarten and a new school year is an exciting time for both parents, children and teachers. We look forward to working with all of you to make this a great year of learning for your children.
The first day in session will be Tuesday, September 3th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Please provide your child with a healthy snack for our first day of school. The bus will be operating on Tuesday, September 3th for pick-up and early drop-off. Beginning Wednesday, September 4th school hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
You have been emailed the bus schedule for 2024-2025. Please note the time for your child’s stop and be there 5 minutes early to avoid missing the bus. In the afternoon, it is important that you meet your child at the bus stop. For safety reasons, the bus driver cannot drop off a child if there is no parent to meet the child. If this happens, the bus driver will bring the child back to the school for parent pick-up.
Please do not buy school supplies for your child. To save time and money for parents, the school provides the supplies and the PAC pays for them. Thank you PAC!
The only four items needed in the first week are:
- inside shoes that can be worn outside in an emergency and are easy for your child to put on independently (Velcro is popular although shoe horns are available to help students)
- spare change of clothing (including undergarments) clearly labeled with student’s name in a large Ziplock bag
- reusable water bottle clearly labelled with student’s name which will go home daily for cleaning
- computer headphones clearly labeled with student’s name – ***optional as the school has several extra sets, if needed
